One sign of infection is the feeling of mental depression and restlessness of the victim. In most cases, people infected with the rabies virus tend to lose their sanity and become restless most of the time. Another sign of rabies is the sudden loss of appetite resulting to a drop in the patient’s weight. Other SIGNS such as dizziness, fever, nausea and extreme sensitivity to anything heard or seen are also some of the things that you have to carefully observe in people who were bitten by a suspected animal with rabies.
During the progress of the disease, victims will experience sudden irrational behaviors alternating with the feeling of being alertly calm. Also, convulsions occur in most cases. But the most painful of all SIGNS of rabies will have to be the throat spasms that people infected with rabies feel every time they attempt to swallow water or any kind of liquid.
Rabies is one of those diseases where once its symptoms are confirmed, chances of survival is very slim. This is why the best treatment for rabies is prevention. Don’t wait for the SIGNS because it might be too late.
