SYMPTOMS OF RABIES IN PEOPLE

Symptoms of rabies in PEOPLE are very much similar to the symptoms seen in animals. After all the known symptoms are manifested, the result is always devastating. For PEOPLE infected with rabies, the virus will destroy the central nervous system of the body particularly the brain and spinal cord.

To prevent rabies, it is imperative that you get proper care even before the signs start to show. Symptoms in man usually take from several numbers of days to more than one year before it starts to appear. But there have been documented reports of symptoms of rabies in PEOPLE that appear within 7 days to 4 weeks. Still, medical attention is advised to prevent the rabies even if there are still no signs even after being exposed to the said virus.

For PEOPLE, the average incubation time for rabies is also 4 to 6 weeks or longer. During the maturity period, there are no obvious signs of rabies. But there are some early symptoms that can be seen like the feeling of pain and numbness at the area where the bite was consummated.

Other conditions of rabies infection include the following: fever, coughing due to sore throat, burning, itching and numbness of the bitten area. Additional signs of PEOPLE infection include occasional abdominal pains and the feeling of restlessness and anxiety.

As the infection progresses, the levels of symptoms also progresses. The more distinctive symptoms of infection to PEOPLE include the following: hallucinations, having hydrophobia or aerophobia, unbearable muscle spasms. And last but not the least, paralysis with hyper salivation.
